Agreement on Code of Conduct for Contributors

This Code of Conduct applies to all contributors to the TBC Knowledge Vault. 

Our commitment

We, as members, participants and leaders of our community, are committed to providing harassment-free participation to all participants in the project and our community, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender characteristics, identity and expression, level of experience, education, social status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion or sexual identity and orientation. We are committed to acting and interacting in ways that contribute to an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive and healthy community.

Our standards Examples of behaviours that contribute to a positive environment for our community include:

  • Showing empathy and kindness towards others.

  • Respecting different opinions, points of view and experiences.

  • Giving and accepting constructive feedback with dignity

  • Taking responsibility and apologising to those affected by our mistakes and learning from the experience

  • Focusing on what is best not only for us as individuals but for the whole community

Examples of unacceptable behaviour include:

  • The use of sexualised language, imagery or symbolism and unwanted attempts at sexual advances.

  • Offensive or derogatory comments, personal or political attacks and trolling

  • Public or private harassment

  • Posting others' private information, such as physical or electronic addresses, without their express permission

  • Sharing confidential information from projects without the express permission of the project leader.

  • Other conduct that may reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional environment.

Enforcement responsibilities

The TUM Blockchain Club Core Team is responsible for clarifying our standards for acceptable behaviour and will take appropriate and fair corrective action to address any behaviour they deem inappropriate, threatening or offensive. Project Management has the right and responsibility to remove, edit or reject comments, commits, code, wiki edits, support tickets and other contributions that are inconsistent with this Code of Conduct, and will communicate the reasons for moderation when appropriate.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to the TBC Knowledge Vault and also applies when an individual officially represents the project in public settings or internally within the company. Examples of representing a project include using an official email address, posting via an official social media account, or acting as an appointed representative at an online or offline event.

Enforcement

Instances of abusive, harassing or otherwise unacceptable behaviour should be reported to the TUM Blockchain Club Core Team for enforcement. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated in a timely and fair manner. The entire Core Team is committed to respecting the privacy and safety of those who have reported an incident.

Enforcement Policy

The Core Team will follow the internal guidelines of the TUM Blockchain Club in determining the consequences for any action that they believe violates this Code of Conduct.
