Nebula is a paid subscriber-only platform where content similar to Youtube can be gotten without ads. It would be great if Newpipe supported it, so that one can watch videos from one platform and (slowly but surely) stop relying on Youtube.

Newpipe currently considers 'no logins' to be a feature. If a provider like Nebula needs accounts compulsorily, then the general question needs to be answered first: whether Newpipe is willing to deal with accounts at all, or not. Account management brings its own set of complex security challenges.

You might want to try the GrayJay app. Its motto is follow people not platforms and is integrated with FUTO's Polycentric, a p2p social network to follow people, not platforms. Grayjay allows people to follow creators across platforms and does not use the youtube api, it is similar to Newpipe in this regard and supports Nebula. Although I wish newpipeextractor and its developers and contributors would upstream BraveNewPipe and PipePipe for alternative tech video sites like BilliBilli, NicoNico, Bitchute, Rumble etc. Upstreaming NewPipe forks is a no brainer in my view and would reduce the fracturing of the codebase and the need to fork in the first place.
