After installing some plugins an reboot the vita, the qrcode download don't work anymore, when I scan a qrcode the app ask me if I want to download the file in the url, no url show on the dialog box and if I press X this end up with an error

The issue you're encountering with QR code downloads not functioning correctly after installing plugins via AutoPlugin II on your PS Vita seems to be related to plugin conflicts or misconfigurations that affect how VitaShell (or other relevant homebrew applications) handle network or UI functionalities. Here's how you can address this issue systematically to either resolve it or identify the problematic plugin:

Step 1: Identify Plugin Conflicts

  1. Disable Recent Plugins: Begin by disabling the most recently installed plugins since these are the most likely culprits. You can do this by editing the config.txt file in the tai folder (typically found in ux0:tai/ or ur0:tai/). Comment out lines by adding a # at the beginning of each plugin path you wish to disable, then save and reboot your Vita.
  2. Test QR Code Functionality: After disabling plugins, try scanning a QR code again. If functionality is restored, re-enable plugins one by one until the issue reoccurs to identify the specific plugin causing the conflict.

Step 2: Check for Firmware and Plugin Compatibility

  • Firmware Version: Ensure that all installed plugins are compatible with your Vita’s firmware version. Plugin compatibility issues can often cause unexpected behavior.
  • Update Plugins: Make sure all your plugins are up-to-date. Developers frequently release updates to fix bugs and improve compatibility. AutoPlugin II typically facilitates this, but you can also check the release pages or GitHub repositories for updates.

Step 3: Reinstall VitaShell

If the QR code functionality issue persists despite adjusting plugins:

  1. Reinstall VitaShell: Sometimes, core homebrew applications like VitaShell can become corrupted or unstable due to extensive modifications or conflicts. Reinstalling might restore default functionalities.
  2. Manual Installation: If AutoPlugin II or VitaShell itself is compromised, you might need to manually transfer the latest VitaShell VPK file to your Vita via FTP or USB and install it using a working homebrew application like MolecularShell.

Step 4: Restore System Settings

  • Database Rebuild: As previously mentioned, rebuilding the database from the Vita’s Safe Mode might resolve underlying issues by resetting certain system settings without deleting your data.

Step 5: Seek Community Insight

  • Community Forums: If the issue persists, it might be beneficial to check platforms like Reddit’s r/vitahacks or dedicated Discord servers for the PS Vita hacking community. Other users might have experienced similar issues and could offer solutions or workarounds.

Final Notes

  • Backup Regularly: Ensure to back up your Vita’s contents regularly, especially when frequently modifying system software or installing new plugins.
  • Document Changes: Keep track of the changes you make, including installed plugins and system modifications. This can help in troubleshooting and restoring functionality if issues arise.

This approach should help you pinpoint and resolve the QR code download issue on your Vita. If none of these steps works, consider providing detailed feedback to the plugin developers or the community to receive more targeted assistance.
