Have you tried taking a look at the Chrome extension settings and making sure that it's set to automatically do conversions?

@ThePieMonster seems the extension is relying on some user scripts maybe?
It wasn't working for me either, but after I went down the rabbit hole of getting WK scripts it started working.
Not sure what in particular, but that could be possible starting point to troubleshoot from.
