Using the plugin on a Mac M1 gives an error about not having CUDA as device type.
I had to change this line, not sure how it could be fixed for CUDA or METAL or OPENCL.
bpy.context.preferences.addons["cycles"].preferences.compute_device_type = "METAL" # or "OPENCL"
