split cells cannot move

i wanted to add a pellet to my prey and predator simulation so they live longer when they eat it it has a cell i used for a spreading deletion cell so when i used it the deletion cell deleted so i need to add everything as a texture but when i added it i need to put other cells into the same thing which didn't go well when i tried to move them they didn't move so please tell me or add a way on how to move these cells in other cells or how to count the cells in cells as different cells from the tiny cells

i had the same problem, i put a red and green together, ill call it Y, and E is empty
YE -> EY any direction
The red and green cell wasnt moving
