We've been treating mobile apps as a proof of concept, mostly of the basic networking stack and the ability to stay online and send and receive messages.

We can use them for internal testing because we can just decide to use one community, one channel, give up on DMs, give up on "owner" and settings functionality, etc.

It makes sense to do this for as long as we can, because the cost of building and changing in parallel will be high.

Eventually we'll want to make a conscious decision to tackle feature development in mobile.

It's fine to target a subset of features on mobile at first, especially when it comes to creating and editing messages, channel ownership, and settings.
