Most users are probably going to primarily be interested in either coastal flooding or inland flooding, but not both. (At least not simultaneously, as it tends to muddle the picture, since inland flooding tends to occur significantly later than storm surge-driven coastal flooding.) For example, the Event “Florence Sep 2018” displays many coastal as well as inland sensor/data locations. It would be great if there could be an option to select the focus of interest (coastal or inland flood peaks), which would then display the relevant data. For example, selecting coastal would turn on only those locations in tidally influenced waters or within some buffer distance of the coastline, while selecting inland would turn on locations on non-tidal streams and rivers or falling outside of a specified coastal buffer distance. If this is too complicated to implement now, perhaps it can be added to a list of possible future upgrades.
