it would be in our very great interest to have google-friendly pages that are easily crawled and indexed by google (think image search, etc)

Definitely. For many pages I've decided that we should move away from Ionic because it makes SEO extremely difficult. In the next iteration of the Rockd website checkin and photo pages will not be part of the Ionic app
