Guide for installing & integrating .Appimages #46
Comments
Do you mean like a guide for the AppImage launcher or creating desktop entries for it? Installing part is covered here, @gonzoknows you could work on one for integrating it. |
The part for creating desktop entries, so you can search the app and run it from the search bar. That is activated when you press super key/windows. I got stuck on creating the entries, as on a regular system you just move them into root and done (usr/local/applications/etc). |
That would be nice. Feel free to add it. Maybe name it "Creating Desktop entries for AppImages" or something like that.
Yeah, here you need ABRoot for it. |
Would simply installing appimagelauncher to ABRoot be more convenient for future appimages so you don't have to add each one with ABRoot? |
Will try and let you know soon. |
@gonzoknows btw, check your email or notifications on GitHub, we have sent you an invite for the docs team. |
Will do |
Welcome to the team, looking forward to working with you in future. |
You don't need to use ABRoot if you place them under |
It's very easy to run .appimages, you can simply just right click and make them executable but integrating into the file system is a different story.
