Shouldn't this be release 3.0.0?

I had done that in the past, but since there were no code changes this round I didn't think it was necessary.

I also haven't used cocoapods in a couple years. Did changing that value make it uncompilable on Swift 4.x when using CocoaPods?

it did appear to break my build and i had to downgrade to previous patch version
