Horizontal Timeline

Is there any undocumented support for a horizontal timeline, rather than a vertical timeline?

This would be a nice feature to have for this extension. As in my situation, horizontal space is plentiful, but vertical space is occupied with other content. Adding a vertical timeline will force other content out of view and push it further down the page, making that potentially important content less probable of being consumed.

I am not a web designer, nor do I attempt to play one on TV.
