Should probably be a separate mod that requires openbodycams
A small rover or something with a camera and mechanical arm to pick up and use items that's controlled at the terminal and/or with some kind of item with a view screen and controls.
(I'm envisioning something like the M.A.L.P from stargate on treads)
It's small enough for an employee to pick up if necessary, but is heavy and two-handed.
It needs to be charged, but lasts most of the day.
Not sure if it'd be possible to attach to the ship similar to the company cruiser and have it charge that way? If so, that'd be awesome, and may not need to be picked up then idk.
The rover can use its arm to pick up items and place them on its back cargo area.
It places items on its back storage area, and could probably act similar to the wheelbarrow or shopping cart from their respective mods by WhiteSpike.
It could also be used to deliver supplies to employees in dangerous-to-reach places.
A player can ride on top of it to be safe from slimes :)
It can use an item that's in the mech hand, and can also use the mech hand interact with anything a player can.
It can be damaged or destroyed by most things that the player can, but should have a configurable list of creatures it won't be attacked by. (centipede, coilhead, slime, ect)
It still sets off hazards and such.
As it's damaged, various malfunctions can happen, such as the camera being cracked or the screen being distorted, the mech arm being hard to control, the movement being hard to control, or a certain part being disabled entirely.
If this ever happens, I'd love to see some mod interactions with Diversity's electricity-influencing bracken, Batteries' batteries to re-energize itself, and LategameUpgrades style upgrades (would probably have to be a special "Lategame Rover Upgrades" like how he separated the cruiser upgrades) that can add an attached flashlight, radar-booster, walkie-talkie for players at the rover to use, charging port, and much more!
