Saving the current board is a must As well as saving previous boards would be nice. and shouldent requier more than a kilobyte per board if just storing them as a string.
Saving boards could just be a string of charicters relating to the numbers And substuting a spesific charicter for undecided squares and another charicter from a set for answered squares (we need two sets of ten and a blank I suggest 123456789 for puzzle numbers abcdefghi for inputted answers and _ for blank answer squares. Saving these could just save the string to a single file each puzzle on a different line.
So each puzzle would be a string of 81 charicters followed by an EOL with the numbers 1-9 being the puzzle boxes letters a-i being answer boxes and _ for unanswered boxes.
