Make motion sensors available?

I have some zigbee motion sensors currently connected to a Tuya zigbee hub and then to HA. Annoyingly they stopped working properly in HA a little while ago (https://community.home-assistant.io/t/updating-to-2024-4-3-and-tuya-pir-is-now-broken-tuya-model-rh040-b5g40alm/717350/10) in that HA sees the "motion detected" state but never sees the "no motion" state.

Anyway this has been going on for a while with no obvious hope that it will be fixed so I was wondering about connecting the motion detectors to the zigbee hub in an Echo instead. I already have some lights connected that way and which are visible to HA, but motion detectors are not, currently, passed through this integration.

Is this something that is easy to change? Likely to change? Or should I be looking for another solution to this problem?
