What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use Fira Sans via Google Fonts
2. Compare cross-browser (IE)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: same line-height or vertical metrics cross browser. Instead: 
additional space below font in Internet Explorer (see attachment).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
IE 11.0.7 / Win 8.1 64

Please provide any additional information below.
Using another font fixes problem.

You can upload the font to the fontsquirrel.com webfont-generator and then 
download the files to embed them locally. This fixed the problem for me. What's 
also nice is that the font is then thicker in Google Chrome.
