Using # in card link field now goes to the homepage instead of the same page

Problem/Motivation

The # link in a link field no longer goes to the same page I am on.

Describe the bug

When I add a # link in a link field, it goes to the site homepage.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Add a card to a page
2. Add # to the link URL field
3. Save
4. Observe the link redirecting the user to the site homepage

I want to to confirm if we need to solve the issue for all links starting with # or just for # by itself.
