Motivation

I would like to host a journal of book reviews on my site and found that the publication content type would be ideal for containing my book reviews, however, I am not able to add the actual review into a field that makes sense.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

There is an abstract field, however if I understand correctly, this is used as a summary field, and I need a field to contain the full text of the review.

Proposed Resolution

Add an additional full text field with the label of "Content" and set the text format to AZ Standard to allow embedding content.
The help text for the field should communicate the flexibility of the field depending on publication type.

Provide the main text or detailed information about this publication, such as the full article, synopsis, or description, depending on the publication type.

Describe the solution you'd like

New field with default display and form display settings.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Using the Abstract field for the publication.

Roles and Permissions considerations

A clear and concise description of how each of the following roles would be impacted by this change:

  • Anonymous user - Will be able to browse and read publications on the site.
  • Authenticated user
  • Content editor - Can add and publish publications to a self hosted journal by using the new content field.
  • Content administrator
  • Administrator
