Welcome to the bcna_website wiki!

Proposed Website Layout

home:

  • email list, fb page instructions - basic page with code displaying signup boxes, Facebook group preview / like button Type: Page
  • bcna projects - links to multiple basic pages FT Type: Page. Single page with sections
  • coordinated yard sales - blog posts tagged yard sale. would be nice to include map display. or people can just use Craigslist and we could link to that. FT: Type: Post, Section:
  • neighborhood signage - Assuming it's just pictures, on a basic page?

about (based from values page as the template):

  • description of BC - include a teaser for this on the front page. Type: Page
  • structure - basic page
  • contacts - from contacts page
  • bylaws - basic page
  • bcna - basic page

news:

  • bay creek bulletin - page with listing of the Pdf attachments which have been tagged "newsletter", listed Reverse chronologically
  • minutes from meetings - same as bulletin page. except tagged "BCNA minutes"
  • business news - this would probably a listing of normal blog posts with text/image/date, listed reverse chronologically.
  • reports (alder, county board) - same as business news, although we would probably be linking to posts on their respective websites rather than hosting the actual content ourselves.

planning/development:

  • surveys and results - display as blog posts. Text, image, allow for multiple attachments. Tag p&ed, surveys
  • statements - blog posts. tag as statements
  • info about specific developments - link to pages that would limit by tag. Assign tags as needed.
  • plans: BC (retired, but still useful), south madison, lakeside st, wingra creek, wingra BUILD - probably just basic pages with attachments and links to city resources? (Unless there is an ongoing public process, in which case it may be useful to make them tagged blog posts, or events)

calendar

  • calendar - calendar display. Maybe have blog posts that are specifically tagged with "event" will be listed on the calendar.
  • instructions - included on the calendar.

other governance: Ft: city info should be a separate section - "info for residents" or something

  • city info: snow removal, leaf removal, pet info, garbage/recycling, beach report, schools, library, other neighborhoods, bus schedules, dog exercise - each of these are links. We could just have a basic page with all the links or some other solution
  • contacts - assuming this is alder/other elected officials/useful city staff/report a problem type info. Probably a basic page.
  • candidate forum - an event? Blog post, tagged with event.
