Error in JS updateOrderSummary function

Spree version: 3.0.2

When clicking in payment form the following JS error is emitted:
TypeError: manifest_item.variant is undefined

code:

 $.each(data.shipments, function(i, shipment) {
    $.each(shipment.manifest, function(j, manifest_item) {
      manifest_item.display_amount = manifest_item.quantity * manifest_item.variant.price;
    });
  });

Please note this is on a fresh install of Spree 3.0.2
