The /bin is unconditionally added to PATH by lightdm. In Arch Linux, the /bin is a symlink to /usr/bin directory, so no need to add it to the PATH.

In some special cases is may cause issues for some software which finds application from /bin instead of /usr/bin or finds them duplicated from both paths (see for more details).
