bool ServerCallbacks::onConfirmPIN(uint32_t pin) not called during bonding?

So I am trying to build a kind of handshake protocol since whitelisting is not working in ESP32 and I had this idea, to only confirm the pin i.e. return true, if pairing mode was enabled. Pairing mode is some state on my device which is only active if a user has physical access to it and press some button.

To my surprise this function is never called during the bonding process...

Any idea as to why this is the case?

Not even uint32_t ServerCallbacks::onPassKeyRequest() is called..

Now I am buffled. I posted my security settings.. What am I doing wrong!?
