Hello,
I am writing to you to ask if it will be possible to update the add-on to the latest version 2. 1. 48, it could really help all of us.

Any news, @ccz-2 ? 🙂

Changing meta.json so it doesn’t prevent Anki from using the add-on seems to work fine with version 2.1.49 (dc80804a). Maybe something has been changed in Anki so there is no conflict anymore? What was the problem anyway?

How do you go about doing this? I would like to replicate your solution to see if it works for me as well.

In your add-on’s directory (~/.local/share/Anki2/addons21/1049863218/ on Linux; use the ‘View Files’ button on the add-ons window in Anki if yours is located somewhere else) there is a file named meta.json. Edit it and change "max_point_version": -45 to, say, "max_point_version": -49. Enable the add-on if it is disabled, restart Anki and voilà.

Sometimes Anki overwrites this file and changes -49 back to -45. I don’t know how to stop this, but I guess it gets this information from the Internet, so if you find a way to stop Anki from ‘updating’ add-ons automatically it will solve this problem.

I tried exactly this and the add-on seems to be functioning like before. Thank you! @macioskinew have you tried the solution from @rwmpelstilzchen ?

I’m glad to hear that :-)

To be honest, this ‘solution’ is not mine; I saw it on a feedback comment on the add-on’s page.

Anyway, @ccz-2 seems not to have interacted with anything related to this add-on in any way recently. I see they are active on GitHub, so I’m relieved to see they are well. I hope they will update the add-on soon, as many Anki users benefit from it :-)
