error: pathspec 'registry' did not match any file(s) known to git.

When installng registry on a virtual environment at the step of git checkout registry, it throws en error as pathspec 'registry' did not match any file(s) known to git.
And I find there is no branch named 'registry' in the HHypermap.

What can I do to solve this problem? and I would appreciate any advice about how to correct this problem.
