Hello,

I have been using MantisBT for many years. We have written some in house plugins for it and implemented many hacks and fixes along the way. Even with that expertise, I am finding it hard to determine the basic steps, and detail, for an initial installation and configuration.

Is there a "brain dead simple" guide that explains the particulars of setting up mantiskanban for the first time?

Hi mophilly,

The basic setup is like this.

Copy the files to the same server you run mantis on. Somewhere that is exposed to the web. I normally copy it to the mantis folder, and create a "kanban" folder there to put the files in.

Technically the kanban can run from anywhere though. Copying it into mantis is just easist setup. Even if you load it from the your localhost, it should work. You just need to enable CORS.

Next, modify the config.js to match your setup.

As a basic setup, thats about all that is required. Copy files, setup config, and browse to the start page.

Where exactly are you having problems?

Thank you for the quick reply. I am not suffering a problem, but building my task list to implement for my team. I hope to avoid thrashing by asking questions before I am in panic mode. 😊

Your comments are helpful. I will organize my notes and see how far I get. I will post my observations here.
