Hi closed by accident. then immediately had to shut down computer before figuring out how to reopen.

Not sure the status of this. There are no other open issues for DiskGenius, and I have an updated, automated package ready to go as soon as I am added to the maintainers.

Heh. I kinda' thought that's what these issues were for: A formal RFM submission with an open forum where everyone can see who took the bai... er... offered their assistance 😄 and admins concurred or assisted in pointing out "gotchas".

What is the preferred process?

Go to the package page, click 'Contact Site Admins' and request to be added, highlighting this issue.
