Are we exporting the whole Zotero library as bibtex, or are we adding references to the .bib file by hand for this paper?

I'm pretty sure you made the original .bib file, I haven't changed it yet, but it's next on my to do.

I finally figured out how to make sensible Zotero bibliographies, but it might be too late to derive benefit from this for this particular paper, and there might be too many special cases (patents, websites, etc) to still require manual edits. How about we continue to edit manually for this paper?

Sounds good!

Reopening this real quick. Did you make any manual edits on the bib file so far? Because I think zotero can handle the special cases fine.

I believe I have made manual edits.

Okay. Then I'll just add the zotero generated stuff for new refs (including patents and blogposts) to the current bib file.

Actually, looking though the latest bib file, there are no manual edits

saweet. Will test out generating whole bib from Zotero collection.

Seems to have worked.

Notably, though there's no style for @patents in our latex format. Ideally the patent number would be included from the 'number' field as here, but at the moment the style defaults to @misc, which only includes the notes. So I'm shifting some things around in the Zotero Collection: moving what is in 'extra' (which are the 'notes') to 'legal status' and copy the patent number to 'extra'. This should be okay for now...

This also means we can still use the auto-generated bibtex file from zotero with manually editting the text file. Notably, though, the main issue is the latex styling, and not zotero.

I can try to fix that by modifying the prsty.bst file. Just create an issue for that and assign it to me, and I'll take care of it in my next pass.
