Multishot 🏹

Same as vanilla Minecraft with respect to crossbows; unique to the Bow of Lost Souls with respect to bows. For the secondary arrow to fire, there must be multiple entities around as the bow to fire the second arrow at a secondary target. The idea behind this is that the second arrow is being fired by the souls of the bow, not by the player.

Pain Cycle βš”

Attacking drains your life to grant one stack of Pain Cycle. At 5 stacks, your pain is channeled into your next attack.

Firing from a crossbow will not break Shadow Form (see Shadow Shot).

Shared Pain (Unique to the Starless Night)

If a player overkills* a mob, the leftover damage will be dealt to a nearby mob, if present.

*"Overkilling" is defined as dealing more damage that the mob has health. Therefore, if a mob has 2 health left, and the player deals 5 damage, 3 of that damage will be applied to a nearby mob (5 - 2 = 3)
