Even though I use Emmet daily, I see a problem with the integration of it within the CodeInTheDark editor: not everyone uses Emmet.
It would give a huge margin to people at ease with advanced Emmet syntax.

I do not think the time you save on writing HTML will save or win you the contest. It is the knowledge of both basics and advanced html/css that will take you all the way =)

When I participated this spring (i think it was), i had atleast 5-6 minutes to spare yet my result was poor. So saving time on generating markup is not very valuable nor a cheat in my opinion.
