Based on the the pull requests linked below windows does not support the use of
sasl.kerberos.principalhttps://github.com/edenhill/librdkafka/pull/1507/files
@edenhill mentioned implementing this at some point in the future. The future has arrived; it lacks both hoverboards and support for
