I noticed that the executables are not stripped thus they're containing debuging information from the build which are not necessary for execution.
This means that the size of the executables can be optimized by stripping.

> file protofetch               
protofetch: ELF 64-bit LSB pie executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, interpreter /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2, BuildID[sha1]=5adff0ef97178e698decd77362b6e8f0ec260b70, for GNU/Linux 3.2.0, with debug_info, not stripped
