This is a small javascript library, used to print circular genomes, using a .gff file. Its design it so be lightweight, rather than including numerous features, zooms, gc-plots, skews, hyperlinking. It makes cicular annotation of genomic features, I expect it to be useful for plasmids, circular chromosomes, etc. Being more lightweight allows it to be incorporated in visualization workflows/pipelines and as a component of bioinformatic websites.
It is designed to have the following API:
features_to_plot = ['tRNA', 'CDS', 'rRNA'];
genome_length = 159662;
genome_name = 'Carsonella ruddii PV';
gff_file = "NC_008512.gff";
features_JSON = readGFF(gff_file);
plotGenome(genome_name, genome_length, features_to_plot, features_JSON, options);
This will produce the following output:
