The newest version of anki changed how sound elements are represented inside cards and this has led to ankiTab not being able to display them. Because fixing this seems to require quite a lot of work I'll put it in the backburner for now, if you need this functionality to work say something on this issue or message me.

I am using this cards - https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1928470569 and the sound works in Chrome. Can you describe, please, in which conditions the sound does not work?

Great seeing you here!

To reproduce the problem make sure that you have the latest version of anki installed (2.1.22) and use this card, the sound should play fine but while in anki you are able to replay that sound in ankitab it is impossible.

After thinking about it more, this issue might not be the best one for someone just starting to contribute here, as solving it requires some knowledge of how ankitab operates and anki internals. A better issue to focus on might be implementing a feature that has been highly requested: The ability to set the number of cards that a user has to go through when opening a new tab.

Currently the new tab page just shows the user an infinite number of cards, but with the new change, it would only show n cards before letting the user continue navigating.

Bonus points if the extension only makes users do cards for specific websites, such as facebook or youtube.
