I am using Shortkeys to disable "f1" in Google Chrome. To prevent the Google Chrome Help page from opening, because I use F1 a lot for other things.
I noticed that Shortkeys does in fact disable "f1" on almost all websites.
It does not work on Chrome pages though like extension pages, Password Manager, etc. And this is normal. It's not supposed to. Extensions don't work on those pages.
However, my main homepage in Chrome is an offline website that starts with file:///. And Shortkeys does not work on it. My other Chrome extensions work on it though, so I don't know why Shortkeys doesn't.
For example, I use another extension called Keyboard Shortcuts 1.1. It lets me assign shortcut keys for things like "select next tab", "select previous tab" and other stuff like "refresh" etc. Keyboard Shortcuts 1.1 works on my file:/// webpage. Can you make your extension work on it too? It would be a nice improvement.
