4.2.3 crashes on 1.19.2 and 1.19.3 and lacks metadata

Any version past 1.19.2 with mod version 1.19.2 loses metadata upon installation, then when launching causes the infamous exit code 1.
I'm not exactly sure why this is happening, but due to the missing metadata you may have just made a mistake somewhere.
I may further examine the code if this isn't patched, but I'd probably fail as I'm not the best programmer, and I'd likely miss the problem.
