E.g.,

  • Add some interactive 'code input' shiny bits ... or link these if it cannot be integrated

  • integrate 'learnr' or equivalent tool, either within bookdown, or in linked pages

@daaronr Have been looking into adding some interactive learnr/shiny content today. I have been able to get some examples working but am unable to integrate them into the bookdown (see here). I think this was the issue we had the last time I tried to integrate this content into the bookdowns, as bookdowns are static rmarkdown files.
Yihui also notes here that shiny documents don't work in rmarkdown. However, the Shiny sites look interesting. We could for example, make a shiny site for the micro course which includes end of topic questions?

This is a good example of what could be done.

OK, let's do something like making a shiny site, good idea. We can always link any content in the bookdown or even do the 'preview/embed' web page thing like we have done a bit already.
