iDAI.field 2.15
Features
- New type management section (tools menu, shortcut Cmd/Ctrl+T):
- Types can be created and organized in type catalogs
- Types can be associated with finds and therefore be used to group finds sharing a certain similarity
- A new type picker within the resource editor helps finding the appropriate type(s) for a find
- Types can be exported and imported into other iDAI.field projects via the existing import/export functionality
- New form configuration section (help menu, shortcut Cmd/Ctrl+F):
- Provides an overview over the category forms configured for the currently loaded project
- iDAI.field projects can now be protected by a password; other users need the password to synchronize with the client
- New input type for literature references
Changes
- New resource category "Sample": Samples are to be created as children of the finds and stratigraphical units they are taken of
- The geometry editor is now highlighted during editing and cannot be aborted accidentally anymore
- The synchronization status icon now provides more information about synchronization activity
- The number of linked images is now displayed in the resource info
- Multi-line text fields in editor are now larger by default
- Improved user experience & loading times in thumbnail row of image view modal
- Improved world file management
- World files can now be imported via drag & drop in image overview
- Imported world files can now be exported again
- The common field "supervisor" is now of input type "checkbox" and allows multiple entries
Notes

- It is no longer necessary to specify a user name in order to connect with the iDAI.field server.
- Translations for values of valuelists can now be provided in project configuration.

- Improved CSV import validation
- Import settings are now restored on revisiting the import page
- It is now no longer necessary to specify isRange for dimension fields in import
iDAI.field 2.14 patch 3
Changes
- In import, object fields and objects within arrays fields of resources are now merged properly on a per field basis, when in merge mode. This substitutes the previous behavior of overwriting the entire field, which allows for additions to nested objects as well as for deletions of specific fields within those nested objects, when in deletion mode.
- Commas are now supported as decimal separators in CSV files (in addition to dots)
Bugfixes
- Fixes a bug where the import process would fail for CSV files if all fields of a dimension or dating object were left empty
- Fixes a display bug which could appear on Windows systems when reducing the size of the window
- Fixes some minor display bugs caused by long resource identifiers
iDAI.field 2.14 patch 2
Bugfixes
- Fixes a bug where a missing short description in GeoJSON import would be interpreted erroneously as a removal request
Changes
- Only fields of import documents get validated against field definitions on merge import. This means that existing fields of the original document are left unvalidated, so that possible mismatches between data and configuration, which can result by configuration changes, have no impact on import processes triggered by users.

- Fixed deletion of relations in merge import
- Fixed a bug where the last field of a CSV file would be ignored in some cases

- Management of staff members and campaigns in project metadata
- Resources list navigation via keyboard (arrow keys + enter/backspace for switching hierarchy levels)
- New import option "Permit deletion" allows deleting fields and resources when updating existing resources (this replaces the now obsolete option "Overwrite relations", as relations can now be updated/deleted like any other fields)
