Currently ed25519-dalek depends on rand_core 0.5, which is outdated and breaks compatibility with existing RustCrypto libraries that depend on rand_core 0.6+ (since using the latest rand crate doesn't work with rand_core 0.5).

Like most open source projects, this one is being maintained by volunteers in their spare time, and a release will happen when the linked items are complete, and no sooner.
