Yellow v0.6.6 was released today. Here’s how to update an existing installation:

1. Open your website in a web browser.
2. Click the edit link on a page.
3. Go to your settings and check for updates.

If this doesn't work, try the following:

1. Make a backup of your system folder.
2. Update the system/plugins folder with new files.
3. Go to the command line and run php yellow.php version, this will show available updates.
4. Go to the command line and run php yellow.php update, this will update remaining files.
5. Open your website in a web browser.

Is it still safe to remove webinterface files if you don't need it, or is this plugin now a must-have in latest version?

Yes, you can remove the webinterface plugin, it's not required.

I try this new version, but it's not running. I made some new folder y066 on localhost. Setup was perfect!
copied my content to this, copied themes & snippets. made 2-blog to 1-blog (delete 1-home) and set in config.ini as homedirectory. copied further plugins (feed as example).

In blog.php (plugin) I set "blogLocation", "/blog/" (was: "blogLocation", ""). Now I can see the Blog-Startpage with entries, I see the sidebar - but if I click to an entry to open, its "not found". The link goes to "localhost/nameofsite" instead of "localhost/y066/nameofsite".

Is it possible that there are some problems with local server (using xampp on windows)? I asked first, instead of getting (more) grey hairs... ;)

I haven't heard of any problems with local server, after update. Can you please check the following:

1. Does a fresh installation (unmodified Yellow 0.6.6) work when you install into a subfolder?
2. Does your current installation (not updated to Yellow 0.6.6) work when you copy it into a subfolder?
3. Can you copy/paste the top of your system/config/config.ini, including your ServerXXX settings?

I found out that in the old version there are the language-inis in the system/config-folder. In the new version these are language-txts and they are in the system/plugin-folder. Its also in config.ini named as 'TextFile: language-(.).ini' bzw. 'TextFile: language-(.).txt' maybe this is one (of more) problem(s).

the old version is running. is new version is running. trying to get them as one is not working: copying my content to new version is running - but only with flatsite-theme, not with my own. copying the new version to old version (overwriting) is not running.

I think I made to much modifying, made my own snippets based - of course - on old version. i.e. now theres no more "getLocation()" known in blog.php. It's to much work looking every file whats going wrong.

Better would be I would start with an complete new installation an made everything new. In this case, as my homepage meant as a german help for "yellow" this make sense.

I have to sleep on it...
