While the general scope for the initial schema is KYC, we want to prioritize and document specific applications that are in scope for this group. Examples could include (not limited to):

  • Traditional banking and financial services: e.g. opening a bank account
  • Cryptocurrency/defi
  • Online payments
  • Health care

General
Two layers:

  • how to identify a unique natural person
  • customer due diligence: what is the purpose

Relevant models (to add to running list)

Focal use cases

  • Different kinds of KYC & KYB
    • Jurisdiction/residency (esp in crypto)
    • AML sanctions check
  • Proof of humanity
  • Proof of age
  • Investor accreditation
  • Loyalty programs: tracking membership
  • Educational credentials
