Eventually, there should be better image uploading integration, but for now, just move existing images over.

what type of images do u want to host on imgur?? and i think we will need to make an application to get the Access Key and Secret to be able to upload to their website, right??

Like this http://wikinotes.ca/MATH_340/lecture-notes/winter-2014/tuesday-january-21/#clos-networks

And no we don't need to apply to use the API. For now, though, I was just thinking of moving the images over manually

As in download locally and then upload on imgur?

Because right now most of them are being hosted on my SOCS account.

Don't need to download locally, imgur allows for uploading from a URL

hello wendy, i still have not read enough of the code to figure this out but i was looking at tools that could be used to upload images to imgur via URL. There was link at imgur's website which allows different ways to upload images to imgur. Here is the link: http://imgur.com/tools
Did you want to use one of these tools?
Also,

  1. Do you plan to have one wikinotes account on imgur where u want to host those images?
  2. Where do u allow users to load images (which html page) and where do u store them (im trying to find the field in models that saves the image)

Thanks in advance :)

Maybe eventually? For now I just want to move the images over manually. I don't really care which account they're hosted under.

Wikinotes uses Markdown, just like GitHub. I would suggest reading this: http://wikinotes.ca/help/formatting/
