Pimcore deployment pimcore:deployment:classes-rebuild error

Hello,

recently I am having issues with deploying Pimcore. All of the tasks succeed but the pimcore:deployment:classes-rebuild and the pimcore:custom-layouts-rebuild fails with exit code 255 (Unknown error) and refer to error in pimcore.php on line 16. That file is the vendor/deployer/deployer/recipe/pimcore.php and line 16 only contains the actual task that should be executed.

When I run manually the rebuild command (bin/console pimcore:deployment:classes-rebuild --create-classes --delete-classes --no-interaction) on the server, there is no error and the command succeeds, and also there is no log entry in Pimcore in connection with it. For the deployment and on the server PHP 8.0 is used.

Running both commands with -vv shows no useful information. I also tried to deploy with memory_limit=-1 and with the recent deployer version but still fails.

Do you have any idea what could cause this error and how can it be fixed?

Is it using the right PHP version? Can you run the deployment with -vvv? Also check the symfony logs on the server for clues

Looks like it is using the right PHP version. The last successful deployment was 3 weeks ago, which was just modifying the bundles/AdminBundle/Controller/Admin/SettingsController.php and the bundles/AdminBundle/Resources/public/js/pimcore/settings/system.js but for the next deployment, it just failed with the mentioned task. This patch is also applied in other Pimcore where I am deploying, and the deployment still succeeds there. The result with -vvv not showing much more info:

I also enabled the debug mode and put into dev mode, and only the dev.log is modified which has just deprecated entries:
