I am interested in downloading the recorded readings from the GM1356 - I can try sniffing the USB communications myself, but I have not found the original SoundLab software available anywhere...

Is there a download link for the mentioned working version anywhere (Sound Level Meter v. 1.0.0.20, build 2016-07-20)?

Found a version software listed for a different clone of the GM1356, sold under the model name of BAFX3608 here.

SoundLab Sound Level Meter 1.0.0.18 2015-10-07

On first impression it seems to work on 64-bit Windows 11 with the GM1356 I got from AliExpress

A short blog post with the information I've found so far: https://nordspark.blogspot.com/2022/10/bafx3608-gm1356-digital-sound-level.html

Interesting, is this Sound PC Link for a different clone (WS1351 is mentioned)? Functionally the interface looks very similar, but it doesn't detect my device - I didn't need to install any drivers for my GM1356, in Nirsoft USBDeview it looks like it's just using the standard USB HID driver:

I added more files to the link above, how to install the driver.

Thanks, but I meant to say - my GM1356 just works with this SoundLab without installing drivers:

SoundLab Sound Level Meter 1.0.0.18 2015-10-07

I think your device is different... does it say WS1351/WS1361 on it? Like this:

Could you also check if the USB vendor ID and product ID are the same for your device?
You can do this from the same place you install the driver, in Device Manager. But in the device properties, instead of Driver tab go to to Details and select Hardware Ids from the dropdown:

Here you can see my GM1356 has a VID (vendor ID) of 64BD and PID (product ID) of 74E3

Ok nice, thanks for the link! Interesting that the WS1361, WS1361C, HY1361, HY13611 clones are slightly different - I added the Sound PC Link files to my google drive linked on my blog as well.

I'll leave the question open, because the GM1356, BAFX3608 (and SK1356 ?) work with the original SoundLab program - I found version 1.0.0.18, but based on this repo's README there should also be a 1.0.0.20

Here are programs for correct work with a comma.
Comma as decimal separator depending on how it is set in Windows.

Why do you think the sound level meter shows different values when connected to different power sources?
From the Power Bank 40db, and from the USB computer 50db.

I noticed this when I began to monitor data on a PC in the program.
