One of the most impressive features of Dojo Toolkit has been its large collection of various kinds of charts. If some of those (e.g. Line, Bar etc.) can be made available as Alpha release within Dojo 2.0 that will be great. As it appears from few notes on “dataviz” that there was a plan like that. If new charting cannot be made available, would it be possible to use some of those from an older version with 2.0 release?

For what it's worth, you can use Dojo 1.x charts with 2.0 initially, though that's far from ideal. And yes, we do want a good solution to dataviz, but the decision was basically that we need the 2.0 foundation to be stable before we can tackle that (otherwise we keep rewriting our efforts). I'm currently working (very slowly) on 3 chart examples for use with Dojo 2, which I hope to have ready sometime in January (bar chart, line chart, pie chart).
