I use yours extension in Firefox (windows, 64x, Nightly build) and thank you for it!

Today I noticed the error in work your extension -
Wrong video opens, that is, I pressed the shorts video with one address, and the video with another address opens.
(I bring the cursor on the shorts video and choose to open it in a new tab)
This is repeated often, it was already today 5 times.

Even if I copy the correct shorts video address, insert it into the address bar in a new tab, then the address changes(!!) and another video opens! generally random (but with a large number of views).

If you do this several times, the right video will open. At first I thought that this extension has slipped another video to me for the purpose of advertising or mockery, and then I think - well, no, probably a mistake.

Fix it, please.
I can’t give an example - after the correct video opens - the error does not appear once again.

And yet - I don’t know if it is possible to fix it:
Even with normal work of your extension, before the shorts video appears, the youtube shows the identifier error and offers to watch the video later(in the place of video, in this black rectangle). You just have time to read it - the video opens.

I see version 1.31 on this site (on firefox extension site version 1.2.0) - i will test it, version 1.31, maybe this error has already been fixed.

I confirmed the phenomenon with firefox 104.0.2 (x64)

There is no extension compatibility between Chrome (Manifest v3) and Firefox (Manifest v2), so after writing for Chrome (v3), I rewrote it for Firefox (v2). Therefore the update is delayed. m(_ _)m

As for the issue of being redirected to a different video when opened in a new tab, I have tried about 100 times and it is not happening.
It is more likely a bug in the extension, but there is no code in it that would send you to a different video (that you haven't seen before), so it could be a problem on Youtube's end.

Possible reasons here are.

• Bug in extension (more likely)
• Problems with Firefox, Youtube
• Language or region specific problem (unlikely)

In any case, I will read the code for firefox once again.

I get this bug (using Firefox) even without having installed the addon. Most likely it is an issue with Firefox/youtube.

In extension "Enhancer for youtube" option appeared - "Convert Shorts".

It works better than your extension, Shorts open like ordinary videos faster - you can not even understand that this is not ordinary videos. Look, if interesting, maybe the authors found some secret way to do better what you do.
