Heatpump not connecting with esp32 wroom

Hi,
I've been trying to get this going but the log keep showing that the heat pump is not replying.
my config:

i'm using the airzone CN105 splitter to keep using my aidoo controller as well for the time being, not sure if that is the culprit.
I have tried different framework types, different esp devices (esp32-s3, esp8622) and nothing works for me.
Any advice?

I'm using an old esp32 wroom on one of my unit with this config:
Perhaps the logger baud_rate ?

I tried to use a new s3 wroom (with the 2 usb c) an old esp32 wroom-32 (usb C), m5 stamp s3, and an old esp8266. i have a d1 mini pro somewhere here (esp8266 based) once i'll find it i'll give it a go as well.

I will try your config and report back.

I am starting to get more suspicious about the airzone splitter. looking here: SwiCago/HeatPump#13 (comment)
there is an assumption that the splitter power might be an issue.
I will try to find a esp-01 as suggested there and report back.

Success. i have decided to connect directly to the board and bypass the splitter and my d1 works just fine. Thanks for the great work, and for the assistance!

Airzone splitter is the issue. either use ESP-01 or bypass the splitter completely.

Dang, i have the splitter as I want to still have the backup of an MKH2 for manual control in case anything goes awry with home assistant, etc.

it strikes me as odd that the Airzone CN105 splitter would be at fault here given its supposed to work with the Kumo Cloud wifi adapter whcih this project emulates.

I just received my esp-01’s. While I do have it working by removing the splitter altogether. I will try with the 01 board with the splitter and report back. That will give us a good idea if the splitter is an issue or not with other boards.

So no luck for now. it looks like i'm hitting the same issue as before (no heatpump is detected by the esp-01). not sure if its my cable or the airzone splitter i'm using. i'll keep investigating and post back if any progress made.
I do see people (at least two) that using this splitters and managed to get this going so i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong.
