Update loop (mac) #422
Comments
Is this the first time you apply an update? I wonder whether this is a generic Mac issue or an issue with the 1.55 release. |
My first Theia-IDE installation is version 1.54. As far as I know I am not on the beta program (I didn't do anything in that area). When checking for updates and then, when Theia told me there is an update, I got into this loop. So this was the first time an update was about to be applied. I don't know which version it wanted to update to. Perhaps a minor version, like 1.54.1 or so? |
One more question (sorry): when did you install Theia IDE the first time? |

We will have a look at this. As a temporary work around, could you uninstall 1.54 and install 1.55 manually, please? |
Thank you. |

We would be thankful if you could report on the state then, thank you! |
I will do that. |
When I check for updates in Theia on Mac, it says there is a new update available. I can then chose to update. When I do that and Theia restarts, it says again that there is an update, and gives me the options again. Again I select that I want to update. This goes on ad infinitum. It seems the update is never applied.
In Help -> About the version shown is 1.54.0
I am running MacOS Sequoia, version 15.1
