Similar to ecosyste-ms/issues#194

I'd like to be able to produce charts of git activity over time, we currently don't store enough to be able to generate it on demand.

Metrics I'd like to chart:

number of commits in a day/week/month/year
number of committers in a day/week/month/year
avg number of commits per committer in a day/week/month/year
