As discussed in ticket #1201, Rosalyn is unaware of any workarounds for the limits on the Google API but has also encouraged us to move forward with this approach since it is already in use by Business Library.

I would like the team to brainstorm and document possible solutions for bypassing the Google Books API limits (I also found them to be 1000 requests per day including @rotated8 suggestion of caching images. The end goal of thumbnails is to have the artwork (book cover) show for the resource otherwise we will implement a generic image that has been described in ticket #1161.

The recommended actions should be documented in this ticket so a new ticket can be created for this work in preparation of completing ticket #1161.
