I use Outlook 2016 ProPlus (Office 365). I have installed the outlook-taskboard. The board is shown in Outlook.

I experience some issues:

  • I can only add items to the backlog, all other + buttons are not working.
  • I cannot drag-and-drop items from the backlog to other lanes.
  • When I change the progress manually the items don't show in the lanes (as you can see in the picture above)

This usually happens when task folders (e.g. Next, InProgress, Focus, etc.) are not created as "sub-folders" to the main Tasks folder.

If you create them as sub-folders, drag&drop and buttons should be working correctly.

Hi Evrenvarol,
Great tool it seems, but...
what do you exactly mean by "creating subfolders". I thought I did it and get :

(I mean :

Mes Taches
Tâches (which is my automatically available outlook backdrop)
Focus
InProgess
etc.
I cannot drag and drop in the kanban page. Is the French "Mes Tâches" a problem?

I forgot to mention : my Kanban pagelooks exactly as the one show on top of the page.

Well I finally found that I first had to allow the "Taches" folder to accept sub-folders (the folders I had created were at the same level as "Taches", not sub-folders.
I can now drag and drop.

NB : how do you get colours on notes? My notes have tags, which are associated to colours in the outlook taks view, but they do not translate into the KanBan view...

OK sorry again, I just understood colours are for priority.
It makes sense :)

Hi @thierrydutoit
(To keep it simple I use you file names ;-) )
The hint at the subfolders was helpful, but how did you create them as sub-folders? I right-clicked taches and created a folder named "Next". But I cannot really see, that it is a sub-folder of taches.

And how did you allo the "taches" folder to accept sub-folders?
Thanks for any hint :-)

Hi @semisecco - You can use Outlook's "Folders" view, which should be a button at the bottom of the navigation pane on the left hand side. Each version of the Outlook is slightly different, so I cannot tell you where exactly you should be looking at.

The Folders view should show those Tasks folders as sub-folders if they are created correctly.

@evrenvarol Thanks, I found it :-)
